Metallurgical Coke having an ash content of less than 15% has been generally categorized as Low Ash Metallurgical Coke (LAMC). LAMC is produced by heating coal in the absence of oxygen at 1250 Degree C without burning the Coal. LAMC produced is mainly carbon along with some mineral and residual volatile material. It is used as a primary fuel in industries where a uniform and high temperature is required in kilns or furnaces.

Various operations include Coal storage, Coal crushing, Coal blending, Coal charging, Coke pushing, Coke quenching, Coke sizing, Coke screening, Coke stocking and Coke loading. All these different processes at plant are fully mechanized.
